January 19 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

It’s time to register your K-6th Graders for our second annual Day of Love in Action: A Time of Service and Learning on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

It will take place on Monday January 19th (MLK Day), from 9:30am to 2:00pm at St. John the Evangelist (60 Kent Street N) — close to St. Mary’s.

Hosted by St. Clement’s, St. John the Evangelist, St. John in the Wilderness, and St. Mary’s Episcopal churches, the day will include a hands-on art and service project, faith reflections on race and immigration, opportunities to learn about civil rights leaders, and a Eucharist. We will also have a light lunch for everyone in the middle of the day.

Parents and caregivers may drop off or stay; a quiet space will be available for anyone who wants it. You’re also invited to join us at 1:15 for the closing Eucharist.

If you’re able, please have your child bring a canned good to donate to the Hallie Q. Brown food shelf.

Please RSVP here by January 4th.

We’re also looking for adult helpers as well as middle and high school youth helpers that day — email me if you and/or your older student would like to volunteer.
