Coming Next Week—New Sidewalks!
Starting Monday, September 17th (weather permitting), all the St. Mary’s sidewalks and access/exit areas to the building will be repaired and replaced, as necessary. In addition, the current approach off of Laurel to the sidewalk for the main St. Mary’s entrance will be replaced with an ADA compliant approach area. Work will hopefully be completed during the week of September 17th, but if the weather doesn’t cooperate, work may extend into the next week.
During construction, there will always be a safe way to enter the building, but entrances may change day-to-day, so please pay attention to signs and ask construction personnel for directions if you can’t figure out how to safely enter the building on your own. Be safe, not sorry!
The sidewalk repair project is costing approximately $25,000, and it is an investment that is needed to ensure the safety of everyone who uses our building. It will also significantly improve the appearance of the entrance and exit areas of the church and the overall property.
If you have questions regarding the sidewalk project, feel free to contact either Tom Brown, Buildings and Grounds, or Rex Holzemer, Finance Committee Chair. Thanks and be safe!
