Garage Sale a Success, thank you!

Thanks to everyone who brought “stuff” and helped with the Rummage Sale.  It was a great success in so many ways! Although final numbers aren’t in yet, anticipated income for St Mary’s is approximately $1500-$1800. And better yet, we reached out to our neighbors and were able to meet so many community needs:

  • The refugee family that St Mary’s is sponsoring came on Friday evening and was able to take whatever they needed.
  • Women from “Breaking Free” (an organization helping people breaking free from sex trafficing) were invited to come and take whatever they needed.
  • Shoes were given to “Dress for Success” (an organization under the umbrella of the Episcopal Church that offers clothing, shoes and accessories to people entering the work force).
  • Stuffed animals were donated to St Columbo’s where they’ll be given to childen who need a cuddly friend.
  • Books were given to “Bone Shaker” (an organization that supplies books to women who are incarcerated).
  • Children’s books will be put in our “Little Library” so there are books for children as well as adults!

covid 19 notice

Our decisions about how to conduct activities at St. Mary’s are guided by our belief that it is our duty to care for one another as children of God, as well as by guidance from the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota.
