Babies Babies Babies!
First of all, we have a regular gathering of parents with their babies – sometimes a playdate, sometimes some space apart to hang with other parents. We call it Beginnings, and you can find more about it here.
On Sunday morning, babies are welcome in worship, especially at our 9am service, where we have a play rug up front so they can see and hear what’s going on. You can find more about that service here.
To hear some of our thoughts on how to fully engage your child in worship, go here.
If your toddler prefers more active play during church, we have a professionally staffed nursery, and you can find more about that here.
Looking to baptize your baby? Wonderful! We will happily welcome them into the life of faith. To understand more about what we think that means, and to hear our thoughts about how to choose godparents, go here.
Sunday School starts as young as 3 years old! From 10-10:30am they can join other wee ones for singing, bible story, snack, crafts, and prayers. For more about that Sunday School, go here.
Every Christmas we hold the Christmas Pageant, and children are welcome to participate at any age. Rehearsals begin in Sunday school in December, with one dress rehearsal the Saturday before the play, which is held the Sunday before Christmas Eve. We do a yearly Children’s Instructed Eucharist. We also hold a Children’s Easter Vigil every Holy Saturday, where some older children re-enact bible stories and we celebrate the first Easter Eucharist. And of course, an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday!
Looking to start teaching your child the bible stories? Our favorite bibles, appropriate for each age, are here.
Know that we have gone out of our way to make sure that St. Mary’s is a safe place to be, through our Safe Church Training programs.
