Would you like to join other St Maryites for a play at the History Theatre in downtown St Paul? It’s entitled “A Crack in the Sky” and is about a Somali immigrant. We’ll go to a Sundaymatinee, 2pm start time, on either February 25th. If you’re interested in possibly attending, let Paulette Briese (651-488-0302 or email@example.com ) know ASAP…. also indicate which dates work for you. We have some complimentary (free!!) tickets for30 years old or under!!! And for those over 30, tickets would cost $30-35 dollars (possibly a little less if we get a large enough group).
Description: 1984–A young shepherd boy stands in front of his mother to tell her of the decision he’s made in the night. He’s had enough of the nomadic life, of herding goats & sheep, and is leaving to seek a better life. With that he sets off on an adventure that takes him on the road-less- traveled from Somalia to Minnesota. It’s the epic tale of Ahmed Ismail Yusuf, who inspired by Maya Angelou, discovers the power of the written word.
