A Celebration of Gifts
a worship service recognizing the goodness and diversity of gender
and sexuality in God’s creation
7 pm Sunday Oct. 29th
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
1895 Laurel Ave. St Paul, MN
Female, Male, LGBTQ, Straight,
All Humans Loved and Welcomed! You are invited to craft, host, and worship in a special Sunday evening service held at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church on October 29th at 7:00 PMThis half-hour prayer service will recognize the goodness of human sexuality as it appears in is full diversity of expressions. All people – female, male, trans, queer, bi, lesbian, gay, straight…all people are made in God’s image, and this service will be an opportunity to voice that goodness, since both over history and today competing voices shun and dishonor people for expressing their gifts of gender and sexual identity. We will be welcoming students of our neighborhood through area college and university campus ministry offices, as well as relying on the usual ways we communicate and word of mouth. This will be a uplifting service of thanksgiving in national coming-out month, and many hands will help make this a meaningful experience for many.Let anyone you might think appreciate this experience know about this special service the last Sunday evening of October. If you’d like to be part of this process (helping craft the service, serving as a St Mary’s host. being the seed congregation for the service, coordinating with getting word out) please contact Bjorn and/or LeeAnne. The group will be self-organizing, we don’t want to leave anyone out!
