MDG Micro-Loaning Dinner on Good Friday

MDG Micro-Loaning Dinner on Good Friday

There are many organizations involved in micro lending. KIVS and Five Talents, for example, facilitate individuals lending to entrepreneurs in the developing world, empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty. Loans are generally re-paid in 6-12 months and may be reinvested with other entrepreneurs.

On Good Friday between services, St. Mary's parishioners are invited to attend a Micro-Lending dinner. At this potluck dinner we will pool some money and invest in a micro loan to a developing world enterprise...the loan is made through an agency, via the internet. It's a great way to help someone start a small business that has the potential to be life-changing.
